Privacy Notice

1. Who we are

Tasteworker ("we", "us") provides the Tasteworker service. Tasteworker is the legal business name of the seller and operator, based in India. For the personal data described here, Tasteworker acts as the data controller: we decide what is collected and why. Email support.tasteworker@gmail.com for any privacy question or request.

2. What we collect and why

  • Account data — email address, hashed password or Google account identifier, sign-up date. Used to create and secure your account and to contact you about the service. Basis: performance of our contract with you.
  • Content you upload — the files in your repositories, the style profile derived from them, briefs you submit and output produced. Used to build and run your worker. Basis: performance of our contract.
  • API keys and caller labels — key fingerprints, the caller name you assign, last-used timestamps. Used to authorise calls and show you usage. Basis: performance of our contract, and our legitimate interest in preventing abuse.
  • Usage and technical data — job records, timestamps, error logs, IP address and device or browser information. Used for security, fraud prevention, troubleshooting, and improving the service. Basis: legitimate interests.
  • Support messages — what you send us and our replies. Used to answer you. Basis: legitimate interests.
  • Subscription records — plan, status, billing period, and the customer and subscription identifiers issued by our payment provider. Used to apply your plan's entitlements. Basis: performance of our contract and legal obligation. Card numbers never reach us.

We do not use your uploaded work to train models for other customers, and we do not sell personal data.

3. Who we share it with

  • Service providers and subprocessors — hosting, database, storage, model inference and error-monitoring providers who process data on our instructions.
  • Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record, for the sale of the product, subscription management, payments, tax compliance and invoicing.
  • Tools you connect — if you connect an external tool server to your worker, briefs and related content are sent to that server when the worker uses it. You choose those connections.
  • Professional advisers (legal, accounting) and authorities where we are required by law.

4. International transfers

Our providers may process data outside your country, including outside the UK and EEA. Where that happens we rely on appropriate safeguards such as adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses.

5. How long we keep it

Account data, repositories, workers and job history are kept while your account is open. If you delete your account we remove them, along with your stored files. Limited records we must keep for legal, tax or fraud-prevention reasons — including subscription and payment records held by us and by Paddle — are retained for as long as the law requires, then deleted or anonymised.

6. Your rights

Subject to the law where you live, you can ask us to give you access to your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its processing, or provide it in a portable format, and you can withdraw consent where we rely on it. You can delete your account and its data yourself from the account page. If you are in the UK or EEA you also have the right to complain to your supervisory authority. We respond to requests within one month.

7. Security

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit, access controls scoped so that each account can only reach its own data, hashed passwords, and API keys stored only as hashes. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.

8. Cookies and local storage

We use strictly necessary cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in and to secure the checkout. We do not use advertising cookies. Our payment provider may set cookies needed to complete a purchase. You can clear or block cookies in your browser, but sign-in and checkout will stop working.

9. Changes

We will post changes to this notice on this page with a new date, and tell you about material changes through the service. See also our Terms & Conditions.
